LISBON — An Auburn driver was injured Thursday night in a three-vehicle crash in front of Angelo’s Pizza on Route 196, police said.
Claude Blanchette, 62, was taken by Lisbon Emergency to St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Lewiston with unspecified injuries, investigator Jeffrey Picard said.
He said Blanchette was driving west on Route 196, turning left into the pizza shop when his vehicle hit a pickup truck driven east by Ronald Doucet, 59, also of Auburn.
Blanchette’s vehicle then hit another one operated by Jesse Melanson, 27, of Brunswick, who was stopped in Angelo’s parking lot waiting to enter Route 196, Picard said.
Neither Doucet nor Melanson were injured, he said.
Blanchette’s 2005 Suzuki sedan was demolished; Doucet’s 2006 Nissan pickup had $4,000 damage; and Melanson’s 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche had $2,500 damage.
No charges have been filed in the 7 p.m. accident, Picard said.
