HIGH POINT, N.C. — Matthew Robert Carey and Elise Tara Peters were married June 11 at First Presbyterian Church in High Point, N.C. The Rev. Ken Broman-Fulks performed the ceremony.

The bridegroom is the son of Dr. Kevin and Catherine Carey of Leeds. The bride is the daughter of Dr. Lenny Peters of High Point, N.C., and Janice Kubinski, also of High Point.

Michael Carey, the bridegroom’s brother, was best man. Groomsmen were Benjamin Cooley, Reinaldo Garcia, Colin Groshong, Michael Guichon, Sebastian Paraud, Anthony Peters, Christopher Storm, Patrick Travers and Andrew Zech. Nicolas Garcia Carey, the bridegroom’s nephew, served as the honorary ring bearer in absentia.

Nicole and Shirin Peters were maids of honor for their sister. Bridesmaids were Italia Almeida, Laura Bierbower, Eileen Carey, Sheila Carey, Whitney Casser and Nikki Mitchell. Anna Myers was flower girl.

The bridegroom is an associate in New York at Lazard, an investment bank. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania.

The bride is a consultant in the New York office of Treasury Strategies, a treasury management consulting firm. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.

The couple plans to reside in New York City.
