MEXICO — The University College will host a scholarship crock pot cook-off from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29, at the Region 9 School of Applied Technology on 377 River Road.
There will be five categories: chili, soup, stew, chowder and name your own. The name your own category can be meatball variations, beans, desserts, etc., as long as it is cooked in a crock pot. Preregistration is required.
There is no cost to enter any of the crock pot categories; participants may enter as many categories as they like, or multiple times within a category.
The public will be the judges. The cost is $5 to eat and judge. Tickets available in advance or the day of the event. Breads, biscuits, cornbread, water and milk will be provided. There will also be a bake sale and Chinese auction.

All proceeds benefit the University College at Rumford/Mexico Scholarship Fund.
