LEWISTON – South Lewiston Baptist Church will hold its annual mission conference the weekend of Oct. 14-16. Special guests include Kingdom Workers Pastor Nathan Cherelus from Bethesda Baptist Church and School of Port-au-Prince, Haiti; The LaShells, pioneers of Central Asia; Jeff and Susan Becker of Jeremiah 29:11 Ministries; and Carroll Conley, executive director of the Christian Civic League of Maine.

The conference will open at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, at the More To Life Balat Center at 533B Winthrop Center Road, Winthrop.

Saturday, Oct. 15, at 6 p.m. at South Lewiston Baptist Church, 1919 Lisbon Road, Cherelus will speak about his ministry in Haiti, and the LaShells will present an overview of their missionary work in Central Asia.

Sunday, Oct. 16, at 5 p.m. at the church, there will be a missionary panel discussion and question-and-answer session followed by an ice cream social at 6.

In addition to these events, Jeremiah 29:11, a children’s-based ministry, will host a two day Kids Rally at the church starting Saturday evening at 6 p.m., followed by 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. sessions on Sunday. Featuring music, games and puppetry, children grades K-6 and parents are invited to attend.
