PARIS — Delta Kappa Gamma is a society of women educators. One of the goals of the society is to help recognize women in education and promote professional growth.
The Zeta Chapter of DKG will award a $300 grant to one recipient this fall. Applicants must be women who have completed their freshman year of college, are going into the field of education and come from a town in one of the following school districts: #17, #21, #39, #43, #44, Union 21 or the town of Peru.
Applicants should submit a one-page letter telling about their educational background, future plans and why they feel they would be a good choice to receive this grant. Letters must be submitted by Tuesday, Nov. 1, to Toni Hamlin, 8 Frederick Ave., South Paris, ME 04281.
