Square dance
WILTON — Friendship Squares will host a mainstream/plus square dance from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6, at the Cushing School. The caller will be Bill Fulton and the cuer, Carol Stewart. Casual attire. All are welcome.
Civil War veterans
LIVERMORE — A Veterans Day dinner and program will be held Friday, Nov. 11, at The Washburn-Norlands Living History Center, 290 Norlands Road.
Dinner seatings will be at 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. $20 per person includes dinner and program.
The Washburn-Norlands Living History Center will present a special tribute honoring local Civil War veterans. A heritage dinner will be followed by readings from Civil War letters and diaries and music of the Civil War in the Ladies’ Parlor of the 1867 Washburn Mansion. Menu will be roast pork, vegetables, coleslaw, rolls and desserts in the historic Farmer’s Cottage.

Government contracting
FARMINGTON — Introduction to Government Contracting will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Nov. 15, at the Farmington Chamber of Commerce, 248 Wilton Road.
AVCOG’s Maine Procurement Technical Assistance Center is offering this free workshop, which will walk participants through the steps that a business should take to determine whether government contracting is right for their business and, if so, what they need to do to be ready to pursue government contract opportunities.

WILTON — A Veterans Day ceremony will take place at 9 a.m. Friday, Nov. 11, at the Veterans’ Memorial on Main Street.
Craft fair
FARMINGTON — A craft fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at Fairbanks School, 508 Fairbanks Road.

Holiday fair
RANGELEY — Good Shepherd’s Holiday Fair will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, on Main Street. Proceeds go toward the Episcopal Womens’ outreach projects.
There will be Christmas trees, homemade fish chowder, reindeer horns which light up and a very special fortune teller. Tables include homemade gifts, cookies and pies, Christmas treasures and, starting at 11 a.m., a luncheon.
Veterans service
LEEDS — Leeds Veterans Day service will take place at 11:45 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, at the Veteran’s Memorial in Town Center, to honor those who have served. Coordinated by the Leeds Historical Society.
