LEWISTON — Cecile H. Lauze, 99, of Montello Manor, formerly of Atwood Street, Auburn, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 26, at Montello Manor.
She was born in Auburn, Oct. 21, 1912, the daughter of the late Philippe and Rachel Boucher Belanger. She was educated in Auburn schools and attended the academy in Jackman. She was married July 5, 1954 to Wilfred A. Lauze, who predeceased her Aug. 3, 2008.
Prior to her retirement in 1974, she was employed at the former Koss Shoe and Billing Shoe. Cecile was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish at Sacred Heart Church, the Golden Age Club, 1st. Auburn Seniors, Horizon 55 and Covenant 50.
She is survived by her caregivers, Jackie and Norm Sherburne of Lewiston; a stepson, Wilfred L. Lauze and wife, Grace, of Houston, Texas; a sister, Jeannette Asselin and husband, Raymond, of Lewiston; and a brother, Robert Belanger of Auburn, N.H.
