I don’t understand the big, fat, hairy deal people are making over voter registration. Reading the letters to the editor, one would think a person must register before every election.

Have these people ever voted?

When I moved to the area five years ago, one of the first things I did was register to vote. It’s just part of the drill. Get the electricity turned on, forward the mail, register to vote. You’re done. Don’t have to do it again unless you move to a different district.

What’s the big deal?
