Gymnastics classes

RUMFORD — The Greater Rumford Community Center recreational gymnastics will start up for the second session on Tuesday, Nov. 1, for a six-week session.

The classes will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays: pee wee (ages 2 to 5), from 3:15 to 4 p.m., $50; beginner (ages 5 to 8), from 4 to 5 p.m., $60; intermediate (ages 6 to 10), from 5 to 6 p.m., $60; and advanced (ages 8 to 19), from 6 to 7 p.m, $70.

One class is free to try out. The next session will begin Jan. 10. To sign up, call 369-9906.

Turner area scouts

TURNER — Girl Scouts of Maine will host parent information and registration meetings at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, at the Turner Primary School and at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, at the Leeds Central School.

Girls and adults are invited to attend the meeting to find out about the ways girls are participating in scouting and how the programs and activities inspire them to reach their personal best.

 Corn stalking

FARMINGTON — The Farmington Fire Department Benevolent Association will host the “Haunted Corn Maize” from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at the Sandy River Farms, Farmington Falls Road.

The maize is not recommended for children under age 12. A donation of $6 is requested.
