STANDISH — From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 12,  the Schoolhouse Arts Center will be hosting a  Chili and Chowder Challenge. This event will feature chili and chowder sampling from, among others,  Applebees, Buck’s Naked BBQ, Famous Dave’s BBQ, Main Street Grill, Porthole, Rustler’s Steakhouse, Texas Roadhouse and Thatchers.

The event will also include a silent auction on items from, among others, Clay Play, Harbor Fish Market, Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad Co. & Museum, Maine State Music Theater, Midcoast Symphony, Portland Dine Around, Portland Museum of Art, Portland Ovations, and the Portland Pirates.

Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children, ages 5-12.
