Students and the school’s PTO invite the public to the Sherwood Heights Elementary School Fall Festival in Auburn from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5. There will be games, arts and crafts, a used book sale, raffle baskets and fun for the whole family. Crafters will sell items, and visiting author/illustrator Jay Piscopo will teach a writing clinic for age 7 and up from 11 a.m. to noon. A whoopie pie tasting contest will begin at 1:15 p.m. and Crusher from the Red Claws will visit from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Portraits with family and friends will be available and lunch deals will begin at 11:30 a.m. Proceeds will benefit the school.
