Navy Midshipman Dustin V. Oberlander, son of Nicole G. and Michael Oberlander of Lewiston, and more than 900 other freshmen recently completed Plebe Summer while attending the U.S. Naval Academy.

Plebe Summer is the summer training program required of all incoming freshmen to the U.S. Naval Academy. The six-weeks training developed Oberlander morally, mentally and physically. Oberlander will go on to complete the academic year as a midshipman.

Oberlander is a 2009 graduate of St. Dominic Regional High School of Auburn.
