This is in response to the letter (Oct. 27) from the Rev. Douglas Taylor about the blessing of the animals.

I was disappointed that someone who says he loves Jesus and humanity could be so insensitive toward the feelings and beliefs of another’s religion. Apparently the beauty of St. Francis’ ritual was lost on him.

Yes, we can disagree with others, but that should be done with charity, not vindictiveness.

As to his crude remark about wanting to take a leak on a fire hydrant, not only was that uncalled for, but unworthy of a man proclaiming to be a reverend and a Christian.
