No class meetings
RUMFORD — Stephens High School Class of 1958 will not meet for lunch in November or December. The monthly luncheons will resume on Jan. 18.

Veterans ceremony
RUMFORD — The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1641 and the American Legion Post 24 will hold their annual Veterans Day ceremony at 10 a.m., Friday, Nov. 11, at the Mountain Valley Auditorium.
All veterans will meet in the school’s cafeteria at 9:30 a.m. and will be escorted into the auditorium by the commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Gerald L. Francis, and the commander of the American Legion, Bryan Lucas.
A lunch will follow the ceremony at the VFW hall at noon. All veterans and their families are invited.
Public supper
RUMFORD — A public supper will be served at 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at the Mexico Congregational Church, UCC (the “Green Church”). The menu consists of a traditional roast turkey meal with homemade pies. The price for adults is $7 and for children under 12, $3. Takeouts will be available after 5:30. Call 364-8603.
Historical society
RUMFORD — The Rumford Historical Society will hold its November meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, at the auditorium of the Rumford Municipal Building on Congress Street. The speaker for the evening will be Judy Kuhn, the director of the local theatre group, Rumford Association for the Advancement of the Performing Arts. The organization was formed in 1968, and Kuhn has been its director since 1969. RAAPA is well known in the River Valley Area for its Christmas musical program and for its one-act plays given at the Dinner Theatre in the spring.
The public is invited. All persons attending should enter and exit the Municipal Building via the rear entrance on River Street, as all other doors are kept locked.
Light refreshments will be served following the presentation.
Class of 1963
DIXFIELD — The Stephens High School Class of 1963 family and friends luncheon is scheduled to meet at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 18, at The Front Porch Cafe. All class members are invited.
