LEWISTON — Murder suspect Buddy Robinson is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday morning on a charge that he killed a local woman in July and hid her body.

Robinson, 30, of 388 Sabattus St., was indicted on a murder charge Wednesday by an Androscoggin County grand jury. He is accused of killing 22-year-old Christiana Melusine Fesmire, whose body has not been found.

Lewiston and Maine State Police arrested Robinson last month after an investigation led them to believe Robinson angrily drowned Fesmire in the bathtub of her 36 Highland Ave. apartment.

Fesmire had been missing for 3½ months when investigators charged Robinson, who had lived for a time in an apartment above Fesmire’s.

Although associates said Fesmire and Robinson argued frequently, no motive was given. Police say Robinson admitted to his sister that he killed Fesmire by knocking her down and drowning her in a bathtub before dumping her body in a swamp.

Robinson has remained jailed since his arrest in October.
