Clothing sale

HARRISON — Harrison Elementary School PTO will hold a children’s clothing sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, at Lakeside Grange 63.

The PTO is looking for “gently used” children’s clothing, everything from newborn to teens, clean and in good condition. Shoes and boots are also being accepted.

Donations may be dropped off at the Grange Hall from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, and Sunday, Nov. 20. If unable to make the scheduled drop off days, contact Penny Bean at 583-7580.

Ski, snowboard program

HARRISON — Sign-ups for the seven-week ski and snowboard program will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays, Nov. 16 and 30, in the Community Room, Edes Falls Road.

The group program for all skill levels will take place on Wednesdays starting in January at Shawnee Peak. It is open to Harrison residents in grades K-8, former program participants and their siblings, as well as Waterford fifth- and sixth-graders attending Harrison Elementary School. Interested people who do not fall within one of these categories should call for more information.

Community supper

WATERFORD — A community supper will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, at the Wilkins Community House. Suppers are held on the third Thursday of each month through May. The hosts for this supper are Caren and James Long and Nancy and Fred Engdahl.

The Community House is located in Waterford Flat on Plummer Hill Road behind the village green next door to the church.

Folks from the community and surrounding towns are invited to bring a favorite dish to share. Rolls, bread and beverages will be provided. For information, call 583-6677.

Chicken pie supper

WEST PARIS — The First Universalist Church of West Paris on Main Street will hold their annual chicken pie supper at 5:3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17.

The cost is $8, $3 for ages 11 and under. Tickets go on sale at 4:30 and there will be a craft sale in the Ladies’ Parlor featuring their brand-new cookbook.

Pork roast dinner

MECHANIC FALLS — American Legion Post 150 will hold a pork roast dinner with all the fixings from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, at the post hall. Price is $7, $6 for seniors.

The Sons of the American Legion’s annual turkey raffle will follow.
