Christine Holt

Announcement is made of the engagement of of Christina Thurston Holt to Rajiv Shankar.

Miss Holt is the daughter of Patricia and the late Nicholas Holt of Ellsworth. She graduated from Ellsworth High School in 1982, Harvard College and Stanford Medical School. She presently teaches family medicine at Maine Medical Center, Portland.

Mr. Shankar is son of Jharna and Bhudeb Shankar of Calcutta, India, a resident of Cousins Island. He is a graduate of La Martiniere Calcutta in 1984 and Harvard University. He is currently an instructor in economics at Harvard.

The couple will reside in South Portland with their German Shepard, Heidi.
