MONROE (AP) — A Maine family has been arrested on charges of growing marijuana.

Maine State police say 55-year-old James and Darlene Ford of Monroe and their two adult sons, 34-year-old James Ford of Dixmont and 31-year-old Paul Ford of Swanville, were arrested Tuesday after police say they seized 300 marijuana plants and ten pounds of processed pot that together are worth about $800,000 from the parent’s home in Monroe.

Maine Drug Enforcement Agency Supervisor James Pease says agents found the plants growing in the garage, which he estimated had about $80,000 worth of growing equipment .

He says the elder James Ford was convicted in 2002 of growing marijuana inside his home in Weymouth, Mass. His house was later seized.
