LIVERMORE FALLS — Pila Lott Promsai Rose, 61, formerly of Lewiston, died Sunday, Nov. 20, in Livermore Falls, after fighting a hard battle with cancer.

Pila was born in Muang, Thailand, March 5, 1950, the daughter of Thong and Luk Promsai. She married a service man in Thailand on March 16, 1974, and then moved to the United States. She worked many years as a shoe worker at several shoe shops. The last position Pila held was a dishwasher at Clover Manor in Auburn.

Pila was an amazing, strong woman. She moved to Livermore Falls at the end of July having endured months of cancer alone. She now was part of a loving family. She felt needed, appreciated and loved. She enjoyed sitting out on the lawn taking in the sights, the fresh air and the peace. She loved babysitting the dog and cat. She now felt like she was valued.

She will be missed by her loving family, Tammie and husband, Rick Coffman, fondly known as daughter and son-in-law; her dog, Angel, and her cat, Cuddles; her friends fondly known as Mom and Dad 1, Doris and Wayne Everett; Mom and Dad 2, Margaret and Bob Rivard; Anne Hodgman; Tina Springer; granddaughter, Jaimie Lefebvre (Beacon aide); and her son, Landon; and her Beacon nurse, Carol Gallagher. She will also be missed by friends and co-workers at Clover Manor as well as friends in the Lewiston area.

She was predeceased by her first husband; a child; her parents; grandparents; and several siblings.
