WILTON — The Titcomb Mountain Holiday Auction is going to be held at a new site this year. Calzolaio Pasta Company will play host to the fund-raising event which will be held Friday, Dec. 2, in their function room. The auction, which is sponsored by the Farmington Ski Club and the Titcomb Ski Club Educational Foundation, is in its 16th year and continues to bring the community together in a fun evening for a great cause. This year’s auction will feature a variety of items from area businesses, local artisans and community members.
The silent auction bidding will begin at 6 p.m. There will be a live auction as well as many items on the silent auction tables.
A window display of some of the items to be auctioned can be seen at the Calico Patch storefront on Broadway beginning Nov. 26.
Auction highlights include a ski package, ski day passes, an individual ski membership to Titcomb Mountain, a sailboat, a handcrafted blanket chest, handcrafted items and more. Also, folks attending will have an opportunity to purchase a raffle ticket featuring a unique print on canvas of a digital painting of Main Street, Farmington, donated by Scott Perry; a $200 gift certificate to Hannaford Supermarkets; and a one-year combined membership (alpine/nordic) to Titcomb for one person, valid for the 2011-12 season or the 2012-13 season.
