JAY — Police arrested a local woman Friday on charges of furnishing a place for minors to drink liquor and furnishing liquor to a minor.

Amanda L. Fetteroff, 24, of Jay, was also issued a summons on a charge of refusing to sign a uniform summons or complaint, police Chief Larry White Sr. said Monday.

Officer Mike Mejia got a complaint Friday night that someone wanted to meet him at Food City in Livermore Falls to discuss a matter. The complainant said he had been in an altercation at a residence at 6 Jewell St. in Jay, White said.

Mejia went to the residence and saw Fetteroff with a gallon of rum. At one point, Mejia spoke to an 18-year-old who said he had consumed liquor, White said.

Fetteroff also told police she provided alcohol to a minor, White said.

Fetteroff refused to sign the summons and had to be physically moved to the police cruiser after she was arrested, he said.

She continued to be disorderly on the drive to Franklin County jail in Farmington, he said.

She was released Monday on court-ordered personal recognizance bail, a corrections officer said.
