LEWISTON — Police issued a reminder of the annual winter parking ban Monday, warning residents not to park on city streets overnight in coming months.
The ban begins Thursday and runs until March 31. Parking will be limited to one hour between midnight and 6 a.m. on any city street, except for Lincoln Drive, Lincoln Street between Cedar and Locust streets, and the even numbered side of Knox Street between Birch and Spruce streets. Overnight parking will be allowed in those areas.
During the ban no parking will be allowed on the even or odd sides of certain streets with signage stating so.
Parking on all streets will also be subject to emergency parking bans during snowstorms, announced by the Police Department.
