PORTLAND, Maine — Portland police made yet another arrest at the Occupy Maine encampment late Wednesday, this time for criminal threatening.

Ernest Weidul, 51, no address listed, was arrested and charged with criminal threatening when he allegedly tried to gain access to another occupier’s tent, according to Portland police Lt. Gary Rogers.

“During the course of that he threatened the other person,” said Rogers.

Rogers said Weidul brandished a knife during the confrontation.

Weidul was also charged with violating conditions of release. According to The Associated Press, Weidel was arrested in May 2010 after allegedly assaulting Roger Downs Jr., 46, of Portland and failing to report it until the next day. Downs later died.
