Just Us Entertainers, an eclectic group of families and friends ranging from preteens to age 76, will present its Christmas show on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 3-4, at Lewiston’s Franco-American Heritage Center. Featured will be lesser-heard versions of songs performed by well-known artists, such as Neal Sedaka’s “Love is Spreading Over the World” and Bruce Springsteen’s “Santa Claus is Coming to Town.” Also on the program are the group’s two youngest performers singing “I saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus,” the Laplante siblings performing “Christmas Time’s A-Comin'” and many other selections. Songs are learned by ear, with no sheet music. The goal of the ensemble, directed by Nel Meservier on keyboard, is to keep alive music that people remember the words to and can sing along. Just Us, whose repertoire spans from the 1940s to today’s hits, will perform at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 3 and 2 p.m. on Dec. 4. For tickets, call 783-1585 or visit www.francoamericanheritage.org.
