AUBURN — Robert M. Gagne, 59, a resident of Horton Street in Lewiston, passed away late Tuesday, Nov. 29, at The Hospice House with family at his side.
He was born in Lewiston, April 19, 1952, a son of John D. and Simone (Gaudette) Gagne. Bob was a graduate of Lewiston High School and remained a lifelong resident of this community. Mr. Gagne was a military veteran having served his country in the Air Force during the Vietnam war until his honorable discharge in 1974.
Bob worked for many years with the Public Works Department for the City of Lewiston until his retirement. He enjoyed good times with family and friends, Shuffle bowling, slot machines, music and was an avid swimmer as well. He was a loving and hard-working father, brother and friend, who will be dearly missed.
He leaves his son, Michael Gagne and his companion, Jennifer Scruggs, of Auburn; his daughter, Melissa Gagne of Lewiston; his sister and caregiver, Pauline Ellis of Lewiston; two brothers, John Gagne Jr. of Lewiston and Roger Gagne and his wife, Andrea, of Falmouth; several nieces and nephews, Scott Ellis, Kristina Wood, Nicholas, Kevin and Danielle Gagne; and grandnieces and grandnephews, Katrina and Kylie Ellis and Ethan, Abby and Declan Wood.
He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Lillian, Nov. 2; his parents, John and Simone Gagne; and former wife, Dawn Brooks.
