LITCHFIELD — Gary Culbert, 76, peacefully went home to the Lord, on Saturday, Dec. 3.

He was born March 7, 1935, to Perciful and Evelyn Culbert. He attended Portland High School and managed various car rental agencies throughout the east coast. He retired from Hillsborough County School Department in Florida in 1998. Upon his retirement, he settled in Florida, surrounded by a vast network of close friends and frequent visits from his beloved family.

He is survived by his former wife, Jacqueline York; daughters, Debra Vaughan and husband, Arthur, Judi Freeman and husband, Joe, Becky LeClair and husband, John, and Tammy Exel and husband, Dave. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and extended family, Dana Foote and Marie Sullivan.

Gary was predeceased by both parents; sisters, Lee Mains, Mary Tash and Pearl Hasty, as well as a brother, Bill Culbert; great-grandson, Collin Donham; and longtime friends, Charlie Cowing and Roland Foote.
