AUBURN — Mavis J. Letourneau, 65, a resident of School Bus Road in Jay, passed away peacefully, Saturday, Dec. 3, surrounded by her loving family at Hospice House of Androscoggin.

She was born Dec. 28, 1945, in Livermore Falls, the daughter of Pearl I. White Quirrion. She was a graduate of Livermore Falls High School. Aug. 11, 1962 in Livermore Falls, she married Arthur Letourneau.

Mavis worked as operations managers at Key Bank in Livermore Falls for many years and branch manager for Skowhegan Savings Bank in Livermore Falls; she later drove a school bus for SAD 36 in Livermore Falls until her retirement in Feb. 2011. She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay. She enjoyed traveling, eating out, playing games, cards and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was a kind person who always had a smile and a hello, always making you feel like you were someone special. She will be greatly missed by those that knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband, Arthur Letourneau, of Jay; her daughters, Wanda Marie Letourneau, of Portland, and Debra Ponce and her husband, Peter, of West Islip, Long Island, N.Y.; her brothers and their wives, Linton and Tina Quirrion of Livermore, and Norman and Lynn Quirrion of Brooksville, Fla.; her sister, Jacalyn Turner of Phoenix, Ariz.; and four grandchildren, Michael Slovak, Ryan Webster, and Greg and Alex Ponce.
