RUMFORD — Variety artist and magician Leland Faulkner will bring “The Gifts,” a program of stories, comic characters and lots of imagination, to the Mystic Theater at 49 Franklin on Sunday Dec. 18.

The holiday show is geared toward the entire family.

Faulkner has toured his performances in Japan, Hong Kong, China and Russia. He grew up as a globe hopper, living in Afghanistan, Iran, East Africa — and Auburn, Maine. He brings the world to life on stage.

Featured in “The Gifts” are “Shadowgraphs,” “Tyll’s Jacket,” “The Heart of Glass,” “Nasruddin’s Chicken,” “Twenty Heads under One Hat” and other works.

The underlining theme of the one-man show is that our greatest gifts are found in our differences.

The performance will begin at 4 p.m. Tickets, $6, will be available at the door; call 369-0129 for reservations. Snacks and drinks will be available.
