LIVERMORE — On Dec. 5 the Jay Livermore Falls Seniors met at Murray Hall with chairwoman Shirley Couture presiding, and 33 members present. Marily DeSoto, Dot Wilson, Mary Lou Legere and Marie Gagnon were on the sick list. Jean Luciano was back from being sick last week.

On Dec. 9-11, there will be a trailer at the Jay Plaza collecting items for the Tri-Town Food Bank; volunteers are needed. Call Don Simoneau at 897-4139.

Shirley suggested that during this time of giving that the club could give a donation to the local Tri-Town Food and Fuel fund. It was proposed and voted that both groups receive $100 to help the needy in the area.

Dec. 19 will be the annual Christmas party. Deadline for registration and payment for the meal is Monday, Dec. 12. The meal will be prepared and served by Nancy Couture and the cost is $7 for members. There will also be a “rip-off game” played after the meal. Anyone who wishes to participate must bring in a gift worth at least $5. Do not put your name on the wrapping. Louise Parker will entertain at the festivities. The 50/50 was won by Joyce Richard. Door prizes donated by Georgia Hersey and Ellie Mitchell were won by Alice DeMoras, Doris Tripp and Fernande Doiron.

Following the meeting refreshments brought in from Alice DeMoras, Janet Wright and George Doiron were served. Next week Rita Fuller, Gail and Pat Laverdiere volunteered to bring in the refreshments. Beano, cards and games followed the refreshments.
