FARMINGTON — Santa is coming to downtown Farmington on Saturday, Dec. 10, to visit with children from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Farmington Downtown Association invites families to enjoy a horse-drawn wagon ride around the downtown area, making a loop with stops planned at the Farmington Public Library, Dunkin’ Donuts and the Homestead Bakery.

At the library, children can write and decorate a letter to Santa and hear some holiday stories. Elves from the North Pole have been invited to be there and join the activities, too.

The first 100 children on the sleigh ride can stop at Dunkin’ Donuts on Main Street and receive a free decorated doughnut.

Santa has traveled far to visit with local children at the Homestead Bakery. Children may deliver their letters to Santa and sit on his lap. Pictures taken by “Memories by Melissa” are available for a small fee.

Two large and friendly workhorses, Chip and Tom, will transport families around town. Signs will be posted at each stop and anyone can hop on at any location, organizers said.
