Coach: Mike Adams (11th year)

Last year’s record: 19-2, lost in Eastern Class A championship

Returning players: Seniors — Ian Therriault (6-4 guard), Omar Haji-Hersi (6-3 forward); Juniors — Quin Leary (6-3 forward), Sean Ford (6-2 guard/forward); Sophomore — Nate Alexander (6-3 guard/forward).

Key losses: Bo Leary, Timmy Mains, Cody Nicholas, Brandon Giguere.

Promising newcomers: Seniors — Aaron Crenshaw (6-3 center), Abdi Yonis (6-2 guard), Abdi Omar (6-0 guard); Juniors — Mahad Mohamed (6-1 guard), Calvin Willette (5-8 guard); Freshmen — Ian Mileikis (5-10 guard), Llewellyn Jensen (6-1 guard), Kaleb Main (6-1 forward).

Outlook: EL is the first program since Caribou (1980 to ’83) to appear in four straight Eastern Class A championship games. To make it five, the Eddies will need a big year from veterans Leary and Haji-Hersi and some huge contributions from several newcomers. Therriault brings size and experience to the point guard position. At just under 300 pounds with a large wing span, Crenshaw is a unique talent in the paint. Alexander and the three freshmen represent a youth movement that suggests the Eddies’ impressive run under Adams is far from over.

Coach’s comment: “I think we’re good enough to compete with everybody. The question for us is are we going to be able to score enough points to beat those teams?” — Coach Mike Adams
