Coach: Calvin Hunter (second year)

Last year’s record: Third in KVAC, 19th in Class A

Returning letter winners: Seniors — Liz Satuffer (distance), Jaclyn Masters (pole vault, sprints) ; Juniors — Ayumi Ranucci (sprints), Avery Chisholm (hurdles); Sophomores — Chantel Hould (sprints, hurdles), Erica Hazelton (sprints), Sierra-Lynn Frost (sprints, shot), Mikayla Pendexter (shot).

Key losses: Abigail Hart, Emily Grund, Bri Robbins, Nicole LaRue.

Promising newcomers: Junior — Lexi Clavet; Freshman — Sam Blanchette, Maryan Abbirahman, Lily Bissonette.

Outlook: The Red Eddies are young and, in some spots, thin. But they should have a number of athletes qualify for states and could improve on last year’s team score if their strong junior class improves. Masters is one of the top pole vaulters in the state and would have competed for a title last year if not for an injury. Ranucci should be one of the top sprinters in the KVAC.

Coach’s comment: “We don’t have the upperclassmen in a lot of events. The biggest thing we have with this team is they work extremely hard.”
