Coach: Julie Wescott (first year)

Last year’s record:  6-12

Returning letter winners: Seniors — Jessica Campbell (5-8 forward), Alexa Harmon (5-3 guard), Briana Moore (5-8 forward), Haley Eck (5-7 guard); Sarah Giraldo (5-6 guard/forward);  Juniors — Denise Thomas (5-8 guard/forward), Bailey Madore (5-6 guard); Sophomore — Jennifer Smith (5-3 guard).

Key losses: Kelsey Linnell (center), Allie Fitzgerald (guard), Ashley Fournier (guard), Randi Brannon (guard).

Promising newcomers: Juniors — Elyssa Hubert (5-2 guard), Jordan Kates (5-5 guard); Sophomore — Courtney Martel (5-9 guard); Freshman — Mia Durgin (5-3 guard).

Outlook: Campbell is the team’s top returnee. She was in the top 11 in the MVC in rebounding (7.4 rpg) and was an all-conference honorable mention. Many on the squad will step into larger roles offensively for a team that was one of the lowest scoring in the MVC. With seven upperclassmen, the Greyhounds have some experience to work with and build off last year.

Coach’ comment:  “This years team will look to play aggressive defense in order to create scoring opportunities. One of the team goals is to compete in the playoffs.” Coach Julie Wescott.
