AUBURN — Aldea M. Breton, 78, of Poland and most recently residing at Clover Living Center, Auburn, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Dec. 7.

She was born in Lewiston on June 14, 1933, daughter of the late Arthur and Germaine Bisson Frechette. She was educated in Lewiston schools and was married to Stephane Breton, who predeceased her in 1974.

She enjoyed bowling, coffee with friends, French music, and bingo. But most importantly, the joy of her life was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by two daughters, Elaine Breton-Thibodeau and husband, Peter, of Poland and Ann Turgeon and husband, Bob, of Minot; two sons, Gerard Breton and wife, Rose, of Milan, Italy and Claude Breton of the Philippines; six grandchildren, Elijah Breton, Nikki and Michael Griffin, Jaime and Nicholas Berube, Nancy and Derek Breton and Stephane Breton; three great-grandchildren, Lydia and Gabriel Berube and Nevaeh Breton; a sister, Yolande Godin and husband, Ted, of Florida; three brothers, Andre Frechette and wife, Barbara, of Litchfield, and Germain “Chuck” Frechette and David Frechette, both of Lewiston; and many relatives in Canada.

She was predeceased by siblings Jeanne D’Arc Caron, Theresa Landry, and Bert Frechette.

We would like to send our heartfelt thanks to St. Mary’s ICU and Belfast and Carlow Place at Clover Living Center for their dedicated service to our mom.

You are invited to share your condolences and fond memories with the Breton family by visiting their guest book at www.thefortingroupauburn.com.
