Women Veterans from Androscoggin, Franklin and Oxford Counties are invited to learn about issues, benefits and opportunities available to them by attending a panel discussion on Friday, Dec. 16. The discussion will be hosted by Tri-County Mental Health Services and broadcast to multiple locations via the agency’s teleconferencing system.

“With today’s Volunteer Army we are seeing more female service members from Maine communities,” said Terry Moore, chairman, Maine Commission Women Veterans, “yet statistics show only about 10 percent of Maine Women Veterans have signed up for their benefits.”

Panelists include Moore; Patricia Iles, Women Veteran’s Benefits Manager, VA; LaRhonda Harris, Women Veterans Program Director, VA Togus; Amy Marcotte, Team Leader, Saco Veteran’s Center; Melissa Tremblay, Clinical Director, Tri-County Mental Health Services.
