WILTON — Police are following leads in an armed robbery that injured a Wilton man on Friday night, police Chief Heidi Wilcox said Monday.
An undisclosed amount of cash was taken during the robbery that occurred at 6:24 p.m. Friday on Curve Street, she said. Police have located a car in question and spoken to people of interest.
A 27-year-old Wilton man told police that two men jumped out of a late-model white Subaru. One of the men pointed a handgun at the Wilton resident, Wilcox said. The victim was then struck about the head, she said.
The robbers took the cash from the victim and then fled in the Subaru that was driven by a female, she said.
The victim was treated at the scene by NorthStar Emergency Medical Services but refused to go to the hospital by ambulance, Wilcox said.
Anyone with information on the robbery are asked to call the Wilton Police Department at 645-3876.
