LEWISTON — The Twin Cities Swim Team Sea Lions of the Auburn-Lewiston YMCA hosted the Casco Bay Y Team from Freeport in their first home meet of the season at Bates College’s Tarbell Pool.

In a very close competition, a remarkable 44 TCST swimmers had personal best times, and three top Sea Lions qualified for New England YMCA Swimming Championships — early results that promise an exciting and successful season.

Despite these fast results, CBRY edged out TCST 517- 469.

The Sea Lions hosted  the Pen Bay Sailfish at Tarbell on Saturday, Dec. 10.

Meets are open to the public, and the TCST invites the community to join their fans, and announces a quilt raffle to support the team’s programs. The quilt can be seen on display in the A-L YMCA lobby, and the drawing will be held on Dec. 15.

Long time coaches of TCST are Tom Manduca, head coach, from Monmouth and Louise Tirabassi, assistant coach, from Lewiston. TCST also welcomes Matt Reed, assistant coach, from Lewiston to the staff.
