INDUSTRY — Two women escaped serious injury Tuesday morning when the car they were riding in rolled over and was stopped by boulders and trees along Grid Iron Hill on Industry Road.

Ashley Clark, 21, of Fairfield, was driving a Dodge Avenger west toward Farmington on Route 43, also known as Industry Road, at about 8:30 a.m. when the car went toward the ditch on the right, Franklin County Deputy Nathan Reid  said.

Clark overcompensated and the car rolled, he said.

Clark was transporting Abby French, 23, of Madison to work in Farmington. French is a client of Life Enrichment Advancing People, the owner of the vehicle.

The car landed up against a small tree, and both women were able to crawl out through the broken windshield. A NorthStar ambulance crew checked on the women, who received minor bruising.

The car was a total loss, Reid said. The cause of the crash was still under investigation.

Members of Industry Fire Department helped at the scene.
