BRUNSWICK — Al Miller and his merry band of holiday celebrants will offer a potpourri of stories and a song or two when “Wales & Tales” returns to The Theater Project.

The centerpiece of the performances at 7 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, Dec. 20 and 22, will again be Miller’s performance of Dylan Thomas’ “A Child’s Christmas in Wales.” In addition, Miller will tell a holiday story, “The Mitten,” and the evening is likely to close with “A Cajun Night Before Christmas.”

Both performances will also include music and audience participation, with singing and acting encouraged, not required.

Thursday’s performance will include a touching piece about a World War I Christmas truce, a true story featuring four actors from The Center Stage Players.

Both shows, which benefit The Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program, are suitable for the whole family, with Thursday’s performance geared a bit more toward adults.

Audience members are asked to bring a monetary donation or food for the hunger program. MCHPP Executive Director Cyndy Carney said a monetary gift is more helpful than a food donation because the money is used to buy more food at special rates. Checks should be made out to MCHPP.

For “Wales & Tales” tickets, call 729-8584. The Theater Project is at 14 School St.

Storytelling on Dec. 24

On Saturday, Dec. 24, at 11 a.m., Phyllis Fuchs and Miller will offer their holiday storytelling for families. Fuchs is the former children’s librarian in Brunswick and she and Miller have been telling holiday stories for more years than they can or choose to remember. The program is especially appropriate for small children, parents and grandparents. Admission is free. Audience members are encouraged to bring a donation for MCHPP.
