LEWISTON — Clifton S. Smith and Wanda E. Smith celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Oct. 7. Mr. Smith and the former Wanda E. (Daley) Sienko were married Oct. 7, 1961, at the Federated Church in Lewiston.
They have three children: Cynthia Smith; Brian and wife Deborah; and Timothy and wife Shani. They have seven grandchildren: Benjamin Fortier, Mario Villani, Alexander Telow, and Kristina, Kayla, Caden and Jacob Smith. They also have two great-grandchildren, Kalib and Kaylee Fortier.
Mr. Smith retired after 21 years from the Auburn Fire Department as the Chief. He also worked many years for the Lewiston Fire Department.
Mrs. Smith had been employed for 20 years at the Maine Turnpike Mile 81 Howard Johnson’s Restaurant, and retired from the L.L. Bean call center in Lewiston.
