SAN ANTONIO, Texas — Air Force Airman Nicholas J. Brunjes graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Brunjes is the son of Barbara Brunjes of Ryerson Hill Road, South Paris, and Jay Brunjes of Porter Hill Road, Farmington.

He is a 2008 graduate of Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School, South Paris. He earned an associate degree in 2010 from Southern Maine Community College, South Portland.
