Library network

BETHEL — The Bethel Library is now part of the Maine InfoNet Download Library, which has thousands of downloadable books. This means that library patrons can now download free e-books and audio books using their e-book readers or other devices. There are dozens of different devices (such as Nook and Kindle) that can be used.

The Bethel Library does not currently have a Web page, but patrons can go to download.maineinfonet.org and click on Quick Start Guide. Once set up, all patrons need to do is click on My Account, click on the Bethel Library and then log-in their patron ID number (library card number). Patrons do not need to come to the library to download books.

The library will be closed for the holidays on Saturday, Dec. 24, Sunday, Dec. 25, and Monday, Dec. 26. Over the New Year’s weekend, the library will be closed Saturday, Dec. 31, Sunday, Jan. 1, and Monday, Jan. 2.
