RUMFORD — Steven D. Marston Sr., 64, of Rumford, died Wednesday, Dec. 28, at the Rumford Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born March 13, 1947, in Rumford, a son of Walter L. and Maurine (Brown) Marston Sr. He attended Rumford and Mexico schools before serving in the U.S. Navy from 1965 to 1868. In 1969, he married Sue Ryerson, upon his discharge.

As a young man, he worked construction before going to work at Forster Manufacturing in Wilton, which he did for 30 years.

He enjoyed fishing, tinkering and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Sue of Rumford; children, Steven Marston Jr. and his wife, Misty, of Mexico and Amy Parker and her husband, Chris, of Rumford; three grandchildren, Deanna and Shawn Marston and Hailey Parker; siblings, Neil Marston and his wife, June, of Mexico, Garry Marston and his wife, Valerie, of Mexico, Shelley Tripp and her husband, Don, of Peru and Rick Marston and his wife, Denise, of Rumford; brothers and sisters-in-law, Patty Smith of Mexico, Bill Ryerson of Vermont, Brenda Fontaine of Rumford, Sherrie Milligan of Rumford, Michael Ryerson of Rumford and Debbie Levesque of Rumford; several aunts, uncles, aunts and uncles-in-law including, Marjorie Packard; and several nieces and nephews.
