SOUTH PARIS — Russell L. Adams passed away peacefully Dec. 30, at the Maine Veterans Home.

He was born in Littleton July 15, 1934, the son of the late Linwood and Viva Cowperthwaite Adams. Russ was one of the few true gentlemen left among us. He was a friend to everyone. His love of playing the guitar inducted him into the Maine Country Music Hall of Fame in 1994. He enjoyed his travels camping, especially to see and play in country music shows.

He is survived by his companion, Esther Staley; children, Pam Kearns and her husband, John, Brian Adams and his girlfriend, Kelly; grandchildren, Nathan and Crystal Fogg, Zachary Kearns, and Isabella, Anthony and Orin Adams; and many other loving family and friends.

He was predeceased by his four brothers; and one sister.
