LEWISTON — The Lewiston CareerCenter, 5 Mollison Way, continues its monthly programming including workshops for job seekers and those who are considering training to upgrade their skills to increase their employability.
“Gateway to Employment” meets every Thursday from 1 to 4 p.m. An overview of basic information on resumes, interviews and job search skills, as well as CareerCenter and community services that are available. To register, call 753-9005.
“Job Search, Resumes and Interview Skills” is offered at three different places. Explore the basics of job search, resumes, applications, and interviews. Offered Jan. 5 from 2 to 5 p.m. at Central Maine Community College, call 755-5239 to register; Jan. 11 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Auburn Public Library, call 333-6640 to register; Jan. 19 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the CareerCenter, call 753-9005 to register.
“Job Search Tips for People with a Criminal History” will be offered Jan. 6 from 9 to 10 a.m. Call 753-9005 to register.
“Professionals Moving Ahead!” meets on the second and fourth Tuesday each month from 2 to 5 p.m. Registration is not required. Call 753-9005 for more information. Presenters will be Nancy Gagne, Bay State Financial on Jan. 10; Rita Losee on Jan. 24.
“Aging Worker Initiative Orientation” is for workers over 55 years of age. This workshop will be held Jan. 23 from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Call 753-9005 to register.
