JAY — Police are investigating the theft of catalytic converter from a box truck RSU 73 uses to deliver meals to different schools in the district.

The theft was discovered Tuesday morning when the 1997 General Motors Co. truck was started up, Jay police Sgt. Troy Young said Tuesday.

The truck was parked at the Spruce Mountain High School North Campus, he said.

The theft occurred over the New Year’s weekend.

Anyone who has information on the theft of the converter, which is part of an exhaust system, is asked to call Jay Police Department at 897-6766.
