FALMOUTH – Dancers with the Maine State Ballet will kick off their 2012 season with the Broadway tunes, high energy and innovative choreography of “Tap, Tap, Jazz.”
The fast-paced show is designed to entertain dance enthusiasts of all ages, said Linda MacArthur Miele, co-founder and artistic director of Maine State Ballet. Performers include the professional dancers of the Maine State Ballet Company, as well as advanced students from MSB’s School for the Performing Arts.
Dance performances will be given to “I Love a Piano,” “New York, New York,” “Steam Heat” and other tunes.
“It’s going to be a fun show with a lot of energy,” Miele said.
Performances are scheduled for 4 and 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14 and 21, at the recently renovated Maine State Ballet Theater, 348 U.S. Route 1.
