LEWISTON — Newly elected city councilors from Lewiston and Auburn will get a chance to see the Chamber of Commerce take on how the community has changed.
Chip Morrison, president of the Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce, will give his presentation “The Lewiston-Auburn Area — Look How We’ve Changed” at 5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, at the chamber offices in KeyBank Plaza, 415 Lisbon St.
Morrison and other members of the chamber began giving the presentation a year ago. It talks about the benefits of locating businesses in Lewiston-Auburn and surrounding towns, noting that half of Maine’s residents live within 60 miles.
It also details the area’s safe streets, high-tech investment, festivals and fine dining.
The purpose of Thursday’s meeting, according to a written statement, is to generate a discussion about all the positive changes in the area.
The presentation has been given to more than 25 community groups, with more than 1,500 people seeing it live.
