WALES — Darby Beaulieu sparked a 15-6 run in the third quarter that propelled Oak Hill to a 40-29 victory over MCI in KVAC girls’ basketball action Tuesday.

Beaulieu scored 10 of her 19-point total in that key third frame to ignite the rally.

Freshman sensation Sadie Goulet chipped in for the Raiders (3-7) with 12 points, including two 3-pointers in the fourth frame that help seal the win.

MCI was paced by Ashley Kitchin with a game-high 23 points, their only player in double figures.

Rangeley 52, Valley 18

RANGELEY — After building a five-point advantage in the first frame, Rangeley used an 18-4 run in the second quarter to distance itself from Valley and record a 52-18 win in a girls’ basketball game Tuesday.

Taylor Esty led the Lakers (8-1) with 16 points and nine rebounds, while Tori Letarte chipped in with 10 points.

Emily Carrier also contributed with eight points, including two shots from beyond the arc.

Valley (2-6) was paced by Teagan Lawryson with seven points.

Falmouth 38, Gray-NG 36

GRAY — Falmouth rallied to erase a nine-point deficit with an 11-2 run in the third frame and hung on to post a narrow 38-36 win over Gray-New Gloucester.

Maria Valente led the Patriots (3-5) with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Stephanie Greaton, Haylee Cote and Maggie Chaplin also contrubuted with six points each.

Dirigo 43, Carrabec 32

NORTH ANSON — Alyssa Wade drained a game-high 19 points to lead Dirigo to a 43-32 victory over Carrabec in an MVC girls’ basketball tilt Tuesday.

Paige Murphy added seven for the Cougars (6-4).

Jocelyn Jackson led the Cobras (2-7) with 12 points.

Jessica Vailancourt hit a trey and hauled in 10 rebounds in the setback.

Monmouth 43,

Wiscasset 22

WISCASSET — Kristine Kahl ignited a 23-6 run in the second frame that allowed Monmouth to pull away for a 43-22 victory over Wiscasset in an MVC girls’ basketball tilt Tuesday.

Kahl scored six of her 13 total points in that key second stanza, while Melissa Broussard also contributed with nine points.

Wiscasset (0-8) was paced by Briana Goud and Kayla Connors with eight points apiece.

Hall-Dale 39,

Spruce Mountain 35

FARMINGDALE — Carylanne Wolfington netted eight of her 13 total points in the second half as Hall-Dale squeaked out a 39-35 win over Spruce Mountain in a high-stakes MVC girls’ basketball tilt Tuesday.

Wolfington’s seven points in the fourth quarter helped the Bulldogs (8-2) seal the deal.

Wendy Goldman chipped in for Hall-Dale with nine points, while Allison Crocket added eight.

The Phoenix (8-1) were paced by Kathryn Ventrella with a solid 20-point performance, their only player in double figures.

Yarmouth 44, Poland 43

POLAND — Senior forward Megan Cahill scored eight of her 12 points in the final quarter as Yarmouth pulled off a 44-43 triumph over Poland in WMC girls’ basketball action Tuesday.

The Clippers (3-6) were trailing 42-38 at the end of the third quarter. Junior forward Grace O’Donnell scored six baskets for a shared game-high 12 points for Yarmouth.

The Knights (2-7) were paced by junior guard Brittina Maheux who had 12 points, and Emily Bolduc added 11 points.

Messalonskee 63, Lewiston 42

LEWISTON — Mary Badeen drained 20 points to lead Messalonskee to a 63-42 victory over Lewiston in KVAC girls’ basketball action Tuesday.

The Eagles kick started the scoring with a 13-7 first quarter en route to a 36-20 halftime lead. Megan Pelletier had her way inside through most of the game, scoring 15 points on six field goals and three free throws. Jenessa Talarico and Brie Wilson put up 10 points each for the Blue Devils. Wilson scored eight of her 10 points in the fourth quarter.

Madison 48, Lisbon 33

MADISON — Senior forward Jessica Campbell led all scorers with 15 points and six rebounds lift Madison barking to a 48-33 victory over Lisbon in MVC girls’ basketball action Tuesday.

The Bulldogs (9-0) leveled a balanced attack as Emily McKenney, Sam Bruce and Kristen Wood recorded eight points each.

Madison’s full-court pressure provided for many turnovers and easy layup opportunities.

Boothbay 50, St. Dom’s 22

BOOTHBAY — Megahn Smith scored 14 points and Alexandra Clarke added 12 as Boothbay landed on St.Dom’s with a 50-22 victory in a girls’ basketball game Tuesday night.

Sarah Caron scored 13 points for the Seahawks, who built a 15-8 lead and held the Saints to single-digit scoring all four quarters.

For the Saints, Alexis Dwinnell scored five points.
