BRUNSWICK — Margaret E. Reynolds, 78, of Topsham, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 17, at Midcoast Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Lewiston, Sept. 19, 1933, a daughter of the late William G. and Ina M. (Pitcher) Clark. She attended local schools graduating from Lisbon High School in 1952. She married Harry G. Barrett Jr. in 1953, and together they worked and raised their young family in the Lisbon area. Harry passed away in 1987.

She was a certified nursing assistant at Parkview Hospital for more than 20 years before retiring in 1999. In 2003, she married George Reynolds, and they made their home in Topsham to the present day.

She was a member of the West Bowdoin Baptist Church. She enjoyed swimming, arts and crafts, sewing, listening to music and playing the piano until she was physically unable to do so. She had an extensive collection of stuffed animals, especially monkeys and she also had a great love of animals. Her greatest love in life was precious time spent with family especially her grandchildren.

Margaret is survived by her husband, George Reynolds of Topsham; four children, Paul A. Barrett and his wife, Candace, of Lisbon Falls, Peter A. Barrett and his wife, Virginia, of Litchfield, Philip A. Barrett and his wife, Madeline, of Scarborough and Nancy Muncey and her husband, Clarence, of Lisbon Falls; her sister, Mildred Allen of Topsham; 16 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Harry Barrett Jr.; and six sisters, Bertha Holman, Hazel Sawyer, Katherine Hall, Ethel Darling, Dorothy Webster and Marion Clark.
